Privacy Policy.
The responsible party’s contact channel and final retention arrangements still require confirmation before launch. This policy should be reviewed alongside those details.
What we collect
When you share a story, we collect your name, email address, story title, location, experience and any optional photograph, along with your permission to contact you.
Why we collect it
Your contact details are used purely for collaboration about your story contribution, including editorial questions, attribution and permission requests. They are not used for marketing or mailing lists. We use your story and any photograph to privately review your contribution. Submitting a story does not give us permission to publish it. Separate permission is required for public use of text or photographs.
Who can see it
Submissions and uploaded photographs are stored privately in Lovable Cloud. Access is restricted to authorised editors. We do not publish email addresses or sell contribution data. Providers supporting the website may process information only as needed to operate the service, not for their own marketing.
Retention and security
Submissions are kept for editorial review and agreed collaboration, with restricted access. No fixed retention period has been confirmed yet. Final retention arrangements will be stated here before launch. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You retain your copyright. You may request access, correction or deletion of your submission, or withdraw permission for further contact. These requests will be handled in line with applicable South African data protection law, including POPIA. A confirmed contact channel will be added before launch; please do not submit sensitive information about yourself or others.
Cookies and tracking
No advertising or analytics trackers have been added. Editor sign-in uses necessary browser storage to keep authorised editors signed in. External Blogger links have their own privacy practices. See our Cookie Policy for browser storage and external services, and our Terms and Conditions for contributor rights.
